Cassette jig
A cassette jig is a temporary installation device used to support, position and guide an accommodation cassette as it is moved into or out of an ExoSett frame.
The jig holds the cassette at the required height and orientation while allowing it to travel accurately towards its destination cell.
How it works
Depending upon the installation method, it may run on rails, rollers, bogies or another guided support system. It may also include adjustment mechanisms for levelling, alignment and controlled movement.
The jig helps bring the cassette’s attachment points into precise alignment with the corresponding frame nodes. This reduces the need for repeated lifting and limits the risk of damage to the cassette, frame or connection equipment.
During installation, the jig supports the cassette until its load has been transferred safely to the accommodation frame. During removal, the process is reversed before the cassette is moved away from the building.
Different cassette sizes and installation conditions may require different jigs or adjustable configurations. The cassette jig may operate as part of a larger installation frame or alongside other temporary handling equipment.
Once the installation or removal operation is complete, the cassette jig is withdrawn and does not form part of the occupied building.
