Roof
The roof provides weather protection and supports equipment or usable space above an ExoSett building.
Roof loads are carried by the accommodation frame rather than by the accommodation cassettes. Roof elements can be secured directly to the uppermost frame nodes.
How it works
An ExoSett building may use several different roofing arrangements.
In the simplest case, there may be no separate roof. Individually weather-sealed cassettes may provide sufficient protection for temporary, emergency or other straightforward uses.
The building may instead sit within a larger enclosing structure that provides the external weather envelope.
Where a separate roof is required, roof sections can be attached to the top of the accommodation frame. These may form flat roofs, pent roofs or other suitable arrangements, and may support solar panels, raised ventilation spaces, maintenance access or roof gardens.
The roof is firmly secured while in use but can remain removable. It may be lifted or dismantled to allow floors to be added or removed, or replaced as the use and requirements of the building change. Explore adaptable roof systems .
